- Singapore-based videogame venture fund Play Ventures has announced closing a funding round of $135m
- The proceeds will be used by the company’s second fund, Play Ventures II, to fuel new gaming industry investments
- Play Ventures specializes in F2P mobile/PC game studios and games services investments. Since its founding, the company has backed up 24 gaming companies, 14 of them during 2020

- The previous funding round (August 2019) is as big as $40m, exceeding the round target amount of $10m 4 times. It brings total amount of assets at Play Ventures’ disposal to $175m

- 2 March 2021, the company’s Fund II made a $1.5m investment towards India-based mobile games developer All-Star Games
- 16 February, 2021 the company invested $2.5m into a Cyprus-based mobile games developer Colossi Games
- 4 February, 2021 there was a $95m investment to India-based esports company Mobile Premier League
- 17 January, 2021 the fund invested $4.4m into a Finland-based mobile games developer Savage Game Studios
