Scopely Plans To Raise $200m At $3B Valuation

  • California-based mobile game developer and publisher Scopely is in talks with its investors to raise at least $200m of funding at a $3B valuation

    • It is a notable increase compared to $1.9B post-money valuation Scopely had in March 2020

    • According to Bloomberg’s source, the company is cash-flow positive and had about $475m in revenue bookings in 2019. Wellington Management and NewView Capital are expected to lead the round

  • However, none of the companies’ representatives have commented on the news

  • Up to date, Scopely has raised $658m in funding

  • In March 2020, Scopely raised $200m more as part of its Series D2 round, from Advance

  • In October 2019, Scopely raised $200m in a Series D1 round led by NewView Capital Management

  • In June 2018, the company raised $100m over its heavily oversubscribed Series C2 round from Greenspring Associates and Horizons Ventures

  • In June 2017, $60m was raised over the Series C1 round led by Revolution Growth
