UK-based developer of a payment system for online games PlayerLands raised $264k in a venture round from its existing investor MEIF Proof of Concept & Early Stage Fund, part of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF)
New funding will allow the company to finally launch their platform, as well as hire new people for customer support

PlayerLands develops a platform for digital marketplace, allowing players easily trade virtual goods for real money rather than cryptocurrencies
The platform should make it easier for developers to monetise their product, as microtransactions became the norm over the past few years
Its also provides a secure payment system for players to buy and sell digital items online
The platform is already integrated with all major payment systems
PlayerLands supports Minecraft, with Rust, CS:GO and Hytale being on the way
